2. EEC limits the content of phenol in PVC products, the maximum allowable limit is 5 ppm. Other phenol based toxic chemicals like Bisphenol A, Polychlorinated biphenyls are not allowed.¡@

3. Toxic Industrial Tin Stabilizer¡@
The chemicals, TBT (tributyltin) and other organo tins, are used in ship paint to prevent algae and other marine shells attaching to the vessel's hull. But these kind of industrial tins are highly toxic and they leach from the paint and cause severe damage to the marine environment.

The UN International Maritime Organization has decided to ban the use of industrial tins used to paint ship from 1st January, 2003. Customer has to be aware that these industrial tins are also used as PVC stabilizer. Some buyers have restricted the use of industrial tin stabilizer in their PVC product.
